The Front Room
“The Front Room” refers my teenage years and discovering music
On the banks of the Shannon Estuary, in West Clare, there was just me and my dad in our home and luckily I got to take over “the good room” – we called it the front room.
My uncle passed on his old record player when he was finished with it, so the gang of friends would hang out in the front room bringing their records – taking turns on the record player.
It was a great time for sharing music – A great way to appreciate everyone’s different tastes and reaction to the music
